Carlile Swimming COVID-19 Protocols

Teaching children to swim safely has always been our number one priority. We’re addressing COVID-19 with a series of protocols to protect you, your children and our staff. These measures will be regularly reviewed to reflect best practice and any changes in NSW Health guidelines.

There is no evidence of the virus spreading in properly treated water and at Carlile Swimming we’ve always maintained the highest standards of hygiene. We use the latest air and water filtration technologies and our chlorine treatment, together with our added UV filtration system, provides a double layer of protection in the water.

Let’s Keep Everyone Safe

  • Staff members who show symptoms won’t return to work until they’re given the all clear.
  • If you or your child shows any symptoms, please don’t attend your class.
  • Please check NSW COVID case locations link before each class. If you or your child have been to any location at the times listed please don’t attend.

  • We practice social distancing on the pool deck and within open areas.
  • We practice social distancing in classes when adults are participating.
  • We will continue to hold and support children when needed for safety and instruction

  • Hand sanitisers are available.
  • Contactless check in is available.
  • Surfaces are regularly disinfected throughout the day.
  • Our cleaning professionals do a deep clean each evening

  • Please just one carer per child inside the swim school.
  • Wherever possible, we request that non-swimming siblings don’t attend classes.
  • You can check in older children and wait outside to collect them after their lesson.
  • We encourage you to ‘wrap and go’ your child to limit numbers in the change rooms.

  • A COVID Marshall will always be on duty to ensure protocols are followed.
  • We recommend downloading the COVIDSafe App.
  • All staff have completed the Government’s COVID-19 Infection Control training.
  • Please follow our COVID-19 Protocols so swimming is safe and fun for everyone!

If you have any further questions about our COVID-19 protocols please call us, or speak to the COVID-19 Marshall on site at your next swimming lesson.
