February was an incredible month across our Carlile and Kirby swim schools! Challenge Month brought out the very best in our swimmers and teams, with colourful decorations, creative fundraising efforts, and plenty of smiling faces earning stamps on their progress cards.
Together, our swimmers swam an astounding 211,230 kilometres during Challenge Month, the equivalent of flying around Earth more than five times! Even more inspiring is the impact made beyond the pool, with our amazing community raising $105,957 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
In addition to funds raised by families and teams, Carlile Swim has committed $20,000 in corporate support across Starlight initiatives this year, including the Super Swim and Sunny’s Wish.
Challenge Month is always about more than just distance, it’s about teamwork, perseverance, and making a difference together. Thank you to everyone who swam, donated, decorated, and cheered on our swimmers, your enthusiasm is helping create brighter days for kids and families across the country.
As the month wrapped up, each of our Carlile and Kirby centres celebrated with a Personal Best Day, showcasing all the skills our swimmers have been building. The Super Swim month gave our swimmers extra confidence and endurance, helping many of them hit new personal best times.
With our teams decked out in Starlight merch, handing out prizes, and dancing between races, the vibe on pool deck was awesome and everyone involved had a fantastic time.
We can’t wait to do it all again in August, as swimmers set new goals, chase personal bests, and strengthen their swimming skills. Let’s keep the momentum going, in and out of the water!
