We’re proud to share some incredible news, Carlile Swimming has officially retained its title as the number one junior swim club in Australia.
After leading the Australian Age Championships point score from day one, it all came down to the final night. When it mattered most, our swimmers delivered, rising to the occasion in true Carlile style.
This achievement belongs to every member of the team. It’s not about individual highlights, but the collective effort, every race swum, every personal best achieved, and every medal earned contributed to this outstanding result.
With a team of just 35 swimmers, the results speak volumes:
- 14 gold medals
- 10 silver medals
- 15 bronze medals
- 72 personal best times
These are remarkable outcomes and a reflection of the dedication, resilience, and commitment shown by our swimmers, along with the unwavering support of their families. Just as importantly, we are incredibly proud of the way our team represented Carlile throughout the championships.
This marks our second consecutive year at the top, with Sydney’s Knox Pymble finishing second, followed by Queensland’s St Peters Western, Miami, and Chandler rounding out the top five.
We extend our congratulations to Head Coach Chris Nesbit and his outstanding coaching team. Danny Marshall, Rubi Kun, Jeremy Lagonilla, Jodi Armstrong, and Tamika Kosasih. A special thank you also goes to Michaela Pattinson, who returned from maternity leave during the Australian Open and has played a significant role in the development of this group.
While the team will enjoy a well earned short break, the momentum continues. A third of this junior squad has qualified to compete alongside our senior swimmers at the upcoming Commonwealth Games selection trials an exciting next step in their journey.
And we wish the very best of luck to Carlile Dolphin Taylor Martin, who departs tomorrow to compete in the Open Water World Cup.
We couldn’t be prouder of this team and everything they’ve achieved this is what Carlile is all about.
